Get ready for another thrilling day at the WP Karting action.
BAMBINO
MICRO MAX
MINI ROK
Mini Rok is set to excite once again this weekend as championship leader Logan Roehrig faces stiff competition from Rayan Karriem, who starred in his karting comeback last time out, and Bambino star Radhi Harris, who earned himself a race win in his debut outing at Round 3. Roehrig currently holds a healthy lead over his closest rival, Jose Slamet, but expect this all to get mixed up as we go through the weekend. Aadiv Singh has the ability to upset the front runners too, and strong performances are anticipated from Zeph Hair and Ebrahim Khalpey.
MINI MAX
Rotax Mini Max has kept fans on the edge of their seats throughout 2024, and this weekend’s lineup of talented drivers promises more tight racing action. Championship leader Max Boshoff will likely face strong challenges from Michael Danks, Zac Hindley, and Ruan Lewis, while Zac Boshoff will look to fend off Zach McAuley, Andrew Retter, and Zion Hair. With an abundance of talent in this class, picking a winner is no easy task, but you can rest assured the racing will be fiercely competitive from start to finish.
OKJ
With the talented Reese Koorzen absent from the OKJ entry list, Matthew Chiwara will look to capitalize on the opportunity and potentially take over the lead in the Championship. However, he will face a stiff challenge from international driver Ethan Lennon, making his first appearance of the season, and determined competitors like Aleksandar Praizovic and Onwabile Mcinga. Adding to the mix, Clubmans drivers Raffaele Musso and Tristan Botha are stepping up to test themselves at the regional level against some very stiff competition. Expect a weekend of intense racing as these drivers battle it out for top honors.
JUNIOR MAX
SENIOR MAX
Rotax Senior Max Championship leader Charl Visser has enjoyed a dream season so far, winning every race except for the pole position he lost to Ethan Deacon in the previous round. This weekend, Deacon, along with Luca Wehrli, Cole Hewetson, Jude Stuart, and Tate Bishop, will be determined to dethrone Visser. Don’t discount the returning Joshua Smit, who had a strong run at the Cape National earlier this year. Zimvo Majova rounds out the entry list, promising an action-packed battle on the track.
DD2 & DD2 MASTERS
In the premier gearbox DD2 Class, Joseph Oelz and Sebastian Boyd are set to resume their season-long battle, with neither driver willing to give an inch. They’ll need to keep an eye on the rapid 2024 rookies Matthew Wadeley and Ethan Stier, who are eager to challenge the experienced duo up front this weekend. Additionally, Polo Cup Rookie Kyle Visser is making his first DD2 appearance of the season, adding more excitement to the mix.
In DD2 Masters, Championship leader Jared Jordan will likely face a stiff challenge from seasoned competitors Conor Hughes and Roy Gruer. Meanwhile, Jared’s brother Michael Jordan has been showing impressive speed in practice and aims to challenge the front three. Andrew Thomas makes his second appearance of the season, while Niel Lambrechts and newcomer Jonothan Wiehahn are ready for their first taste of 2024 DD2 action.
