MICRO MAX
MINI ROK
Max Boshoff wasted no time stamping his authority on the 2025 Mini Rok season, picking up right where he left off with pole position in qualifying. But if he thought it was going to be a walk in the park, Radhi Harris had other ideas. The pair went wheel to wheel in a thrilling Race 1 showdown, with Boshoff just edging it as Harris settled for second, while Logan Roehrig locked in third.
Harris wasn’t backing down. In Race 2, he hit back in style, turning the tables on Boshoff to grab a hard-fought victory, while Zac Boshoff joined the party, slotting into P3 to make it a family affair.

Normal service resumed in Race 3 as Max Boshoff responded with a dominant drive, comfortably taking the win over Harris, with Zac rounding out the podium once again.
At the end of the day, it was a strong start to the season for the Boshoff brothers—Max standing tall on the top step, with Harris splitting them in second and Zac securing third. Just off the podium, Roehrig, Jose Slamet, and Alanzo Dias completed the top six in what promises to be a hotly contested season!
MINI MAX
With 22 Mini Max warriors on the grid, the season opener had all the makings of a mini National—and it delivered in spectacular fashion! Liam Wharton threw down the gauntlet in qualifying, snatching pole position in a stacked field.
Race 1 was pure chaos, with lead changes aplenty as the front-runners duked it out. When the dust settled, it was Max Boshoff who emerged victorious, narrowly edging out pole-sitter Wharton, while Retlotleng Thekiso secured a hard-fought third.

Wharton came back swinging in Race 2, stamping his authority with a dominant, unchallenged run to the flag. Boshoff had no answer and had to settle for second, with Thekiso once again locking in third.
Race 3 was a carbon copy for Wharton, who made it back-to-back wins while the fight for second erupted behind him. Boshoff won that scrap, fending off Ruhan Victor to seal P2.
It was a wild day of Mini Max action—impossible to sum up in just one article, but a clear warning of what’s to come in 2025, both at Regional and National level! Wharton walks away with the first big win of the season, while Boshoff secured second overall, joined by Victor on the podium. Thekiso, Jayden van der Merwe, and Zac Boshoff rounded out a fiercely competitive top six in this star-studded field!
OKN/OKJ
OKN/OKJ delivered fireworks at the season opener, and at the heart of it all was one name—Ethan Lennon. The young ace wasted no time stamping his authority, claiming pole position in qualifying with Onwabile Mcinga and Aleksandar Praizovic keeping him honest.
But once the lights went out, there was no stopping Lennon. Race 1 saw a complete masterclass as he obliterated the field, storming to victory by nearly 15 seconds while shattering the OKN lap record with a blistering 40.439. Behind him, Emile van der Wateren secured P2, while Zimvo Majova held off the chasing pack for third.

Race 2? Same story. Lennon once again controlled proceedings with another lights-to-flag win, while van der Wateren continued his strong run in second. The standout drive came from Ruan Lewis, who put in a stellar performance to take a well-earned P3.
Lennon made it a clean sweep in Race 3, wrapping up his perfect day in style. Van der Wateren once again took second, with Praizovic finally getting his turn on the podium in third.
With pole, three dominant wins, and a new lap record, Lennon was simply untouchable, sealing the overall victory in emphatic fashion. Praizovic and van der Wateren completed the podium, while Lewis, Majova, and Jordan Klaasen rounded out a fiercely competitive top six. A statement drive from Lennon—2025 is officially on notice!
JUNIOR MAX
SENIOR MAX
The 2025 Senior Max season is already shaping up to be an absolute thriller, with 18 of South Africa’s top talents—both local and out-of-town—hitting the track for the first regional showdown. Cape Town’s Luca Wehrli made the first statement of the season, grabbing pole position in a fiercely contested qualifying session.
Race 1 saw Wehrli locked in a head-to-head battle with Gauteng’s Kent Swartz, the two trading blows before Swartz edged ahead to snatch the first victory of the season. Wehrli followed in P2, with the ever-impressive Gianna Pascoal claiming third.
Pascoal wasn’t done yet—Race 2 saw her turn up the heat as she took the fight straight to Wehrli, emerging victorious in a nail-biting finish. Wehrli, ever-consistent, settled for yet another P2, while Senior Max rookie Keagan Beaumont put in a stellar drive to clinch third.

Race 3 brought even more drama as Jonno Wilson became the third different winner of the day. Early leader Swartz was forced out midway through, opening the door for Wilson to capitalize. And there was Wehrli once again, making it a hat-trick of P2 finishes, with Pascoal securing her second podium of the day in third.
Wehrli’s relentless consistency paid off, as his trio of second-place finishes handed him the overall win. Pascoal’s strong showing earned her P2 for the day, while Wilson’s late charge put him on the final step of the podium. Senior Max rookie William Marshall had flashes of speed but couldn’t quite find his rhythm in this stacked field, ending P4 ahead of Swartz and another new face in the class, Jordon Wadeley.
If this opener was anything to go by, buckle up—Senior Max is set to be an all-out war in 2025!
DD2 & DD2 MASTERS
Rotax DD2 never disappoints, and the 2025 opener was no exception, featuring a grid stacked with talent, experience, and a few new faces looking to shake up the Premier Class. It was multiple SA champion Sebastian Boyd who threw the first punch, storming to pole position in qualifying, while reigning Western Province champion Jared Jordan edged out the ever-experienced Jonathan Pieterse for Masters pole.
When the lights went out for Race 1, Boyd wasted no time flexing his class, driving off to a commanding victory. Jason Coetzee kept him honest in P2, while Matthew Wadeley carved his way through the field for a well-earned third. In Masters, Jordan took the first win of the season with Pieterse in close pursuit and Neville Chapman rounding out the top three.

Race 2 saw more of the same from Boyd, though Coetzee made him work for it before ultimately settling for second. Wadeley, once again, kept himself in the mix with another solid third-place finish. Pieterse got his revenge in the Masters class, taking a narrow victory over ex-A1 GP driver Jimmy Auby, with Michael Jordan completing the podium.
By Race 3, Boyd had made it clear—this was his day. He sealed the deal with a lights-to-flag cruise to victory, as Coetzee found himself in a tight scrap with Joseph Oelz before securing P2. Over in Masters, Jordan bounced back from a Race 2 DNF to claim the final win, ahead of Auby and Pieterse.

At the end of a high-stakes DD2 battle, Boyd’s full house of pole and three race wins saw him comfortably take top honors. Coetzee secured P2 overall ahead of Wadeley, with DD2 newcomer Anwil April impressing in P4, followed by Ethan Stier in fifth.
In Masters, Pieterse emerged as the overall winner, edging out Jordan, with Auby claiming third. Chapman was best of the rest in P4, while Michael Jordan rounded out the top five.
With the first shots fired in 2025, DD2 is set for another blockbuster season—watch this space!
